We specialize in technical, medical products and services aimed at the office-based physician marketplace. We attend trade shows at which new products and technologies are showcased. We also attend conferences and conventions to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments. What is an Independent Manufacturer’s Representative?

Independent Manufacturer’s Representative Organizations sell product lines from more than one manufacturer. They are independent businesses. There is a contractual relationship that grants the Manufacturer’s Representative Organization rights to sell (on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis) a manufacturer’s products in a specified territory or market, in lieu of the company hiring their own sales force. The Manufacturer’s Representative Organization reduces your cost of sales and quickly provides both proven sales experience and new business prospects for your products in new territories. The Manufacturer’s Representative Organization promotes your products in the target market place, along with non-competitive complementary products. Because the Manufacturer’s Representative Organization handles more than one product, the cost of sales is lower. Independent Manufacturer’s Representative Organizations have established contacts in their target industry and can quickly put your products in front of numerous prospects, further reducing your cost of opening a new territory and reducing the time to identify prospect and channels of distribution. In many cases, sales can be made faster and at less cost as compared to a hiring a new dedicated salesperson. The Manufacturer’s Representative Organization becomes your sales force in that territory. Payment is only made to the Manufacturer’s Representative Organization after the sale is made, so there is no cost of sales to you until after the sale. The Manufacturer’s Representative does not purchase or handle the products. The products are shipped and invoiced by the manufacturer, and the organization is paid a commission after the sale. Manufacturer’s Representatives are independent business organizations. They are trained by the manufacturer, and serve as a liaison between the customer and the manufacturer. They pay their own travel expenses, medical benefits, and taxes. Their income is derived from the commissions they earn when they sell your products, so if they do not sell your product or service, your costs of sales are nothing. Because they are not paid until they sell a product most Manufacturer’s Representative Organizations are very selective in the products that they represent. If the products do not have good sales potential or are competitive with other lines that they carry, most reputable organizations will turn down the sales opportunity.
